MYTHOS
The pursuit of eternal youth—from the Fountain of Youth and the Philosopher’s Stone to biohacking and mind transfer—traces a continuous effort to negotiate the limits of time. Rooted in survival and shaped by evolutionary logic, this impulse persists today in the pursuit of digital permanence.
The installation draws these trajectories together, framing immortality as both aspiration and construct, and considering how technological systems recast enduring myths as programmable, yet unstable, forms of existence and unfolds as an immersive ecosystem in which biology, technology, and myth intersect.
Metamorph 2.0 unfolds as a narrative installation centered on processes of transformation and the continuous reimagining of the body through natural adaptation and technological intervention. Across the installation, metamorphosis is not presented as a singular event, but as an ongoing condition. Biohacking and the pursuit of extended life are situated within a continuum that connects myth, biology, and technology.
DIFFUSION references the spatial strategies of the 1960s Light and Space movement, specifically echoing the era's investigation of ambient projection, structural shadows, and altered architectural perception. However, the work expands this historical framework by juxtaposing technologies from disparate generations. While the analog overhead projector relies on mid-century mechanics, the inclusion of digital beaming systems and fiber optics introduces contemporary modes of light transmission. Furthermore, the installation integrates organic matter, utilizing cultivated mushrooms and bioplastic elements that contrast the rigid geometry of the geodesic dome with living, evolving biological systems.
